Atelier Bingo
Atelier Bingo is Maxime Prou and Adele Favreau, who are French illustrators and graphic designers. Their prints display 'many layers and can be seen as a dialogue between the artists. Constantly experimenting with shapes, texture, and colours they create screen-prints as well as digital prints.' " we use screen-printing the way a painter uses a paint brush. We build an image colour by colour, and never know what the image will look like before the last colour is set."
Atelier Bingo have a talent for evoking a mood and atmosphere within their work. But what is it about colour and shape that can create such an emotional response? The colours are so energetic. The shapes are so spontaneous. There's a feeling of passion. A true love for the craft. Yet this makes it feel as though there is no meaning. But that's what so satisfying, we can come up with our own interpretations, without having to over think it. It's creative. it's imaginative. And that's what I love about collage and print making.
